HPV

One of the Pharmacy Foundation of California's consumer outreach projects is the "HPV Educational Link to the Public" or "HELP" program.  Development for this program began in 2006 when the Pharmacy Foundation received a grant from Merck & Co., Inc, to develop a public awareness project concerning Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) infection and cervical cancer. 

Building on original project work done collaboratively between the Pharmacy Foundation and the California Medical Association Foundation, it was decided that a good method to reach a large number of consumers would be to provide consumer education through public presentations.  Thus the Pharmacy Foundation developed the following materials to facilitate the creation of a speakers bureau to deliver HPV and cervical cancer talks throughout the state.
