CE Program Search

There are many continuing education opportunities available to pharmacy professionals today.  For your convenience, we have provided a few below:

Live CE Programs & Events

 

  • USC School of Pharmacy has scheduled their 2nd Annual Costa Rica CE Program to be held December 27, 2008 - January 3, 2009, in La Garita, Costa Rica.  This course will offer up to 12 hours of continuing education credit.  For more information about these programs, please visit their website or contact the USC Office of External Programs directly at (323) 442‑2403.

  • The California State Board of Pharmacy offers 6 hours of CE to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians that attend one full day of the Board's quarterly meetings.  The meetings are held at different sites throughout California and information packets relating to the meetings are placed on the Board's website about five days prior to the meeting.  For meeting dates, locations and other information, click here.

 

On-line CE

 

  • The Pharmacy Foundation has partnered with Learnsomething.com to make on-line CE available in several categories: Pharmacist, Technician, Business Owners, Employees, and more.   

 

  • FREE CE!  The Pharmacy Foundation of California announces the availability of a new on-line CE program about medication errors.  This 1 hour (ACPE-accredited) CE program is presented by Dr. Michael Cohen, President of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.  If you didn't get a chance to see Dr. Cohen's program "Medication Errors: Real People, Real Problems" at Outlook 2008, this is your chance!  Instructions, presentation handout and evaluation form are available by clicking this link: New Medication Errors CE.

 

  • The Pharmacists' Learning Assistance Network (P.L.A.N.®) is a continuing pharmacy education information service provided through the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. Pharmacists have the ability to search this computerized database of all continuing pharmacy education programs offered by ACPE-accredited providers. Pharmacists can search the database by desired location, topic, date, and/or program format.   

 

  • The American Pharmacists Association (APhA) offers over 80 on-line courses through the "CE Quick List", available on their website.  They also offer various certificate training programs (immunizations, MTM, diabetes, lipid management, etc.) - visit their website for more information or contact them directly at (202) 429-7512.

 

  • A wide variety of on-line CE programs, articles and resources about pain and its management are available at pain.com.  Many of the on-line programs are free and they add new programs often.  Click here to view the selection of programs and resources.

 

  • Power-Pak CE offers ACPE-accredited on-line and print CE programs in various topics for healthcare professionals.  Registered users receive monthly email notifications regarding new programs.  Visit www.powerpak.com for more information and to view the selection of programs. 

 

  • The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) offers free on-line CE courses on their website.  The CE programs are provided courtesy of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Acorda Therapeutics.  Visit their website to view the selection of programs.
