The Pharmacy Foundation of California (PFC) held its Annual Awards & Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, February 8, 2008, in conjunction with the annual pharmacy conference, Outlook 2008. PFC's award and Robert C. Johnson Scholarship recipients, along with the winner of the California Statewide Patient Counseling Competition, were honored for their outstanding achievements. PFC also recognized the dedication and contributions of their committee members, volunteers, corporate sponsors and private donors. A special tribute was made to June Salvatori, who passed away on January 5, 2008, for her dedication to the Donald F. Salvatori California Pharmacy Museum. The event also featured special guest speaker Michael R. Cohen, who is the President of the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.
